Pear jam with orange for the winter

By adding orange to pear jam, you will prepare an incredibly tasty dessert for the winter table, because orange goes well with many varieties of pears. When cooked properly, the pear slices should remain intact and clear. We do not remove the zest from the orange, which will give the jam a light piquant bitterness. We prepare such a jam by the method of 2-fold cooking.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the jam.
step 2 out of 6
Scald the orange with boiling water and rinse well with a brush to remove wax deposits from its surface. Wash the pears and remove the seed pods. Cut orange and pears into small neat pieces.
step 3 out of 6
Then transfer the chopped fruit to a special bowl for making jam.
step 4 out of 6
Pour the calculated amount of sugar over the fruits and leave them for 30 minutes to give juice.
step 5 out of 6
Then place the cookware over medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes from the start of the boil. Remove the foam from the surface. Then turn off the fire and move the jam for 12 hours to any cool place. After this time, re-cook the jam for another 10 minutes. Stir the jam gently during cooking so as not to damage the integrity of the fruit pieces.
step 6 out of 6
Pour the prepared pear-orange jam into pre-sterilized jars, seal it tightly and cool under a terry towel.

Happy and tasty preparations!
