Beef goulash with tomato paste sauce in a pan

Beef goulash with thick tomato paste gravy - the taste is familiar from childhood. And now, after many years, this dish remains relevant and very popular.

Wash the beef, pat dry with paper towels and cut into cubes. Peel the onion and chop finely.

Heat the sunflower oil in a deep frying pan, add the meat and fry it over high heat until golden brown. Then add the onion and cook for 5 minutes.

Add flour to the meat, stir and continue to fry for another 3 minutes. Then add the tomato sauce and stir quickly.

Pour water into the pan, it should completely cover the meat. Add spices and salt to taste, cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for 1.5 hours. To make the gravy more uniform, remove the meat from it and rub it in a blender.
