Georgia is a wonderful country with its own national dishes and traditions. I would like to recommend a real Georgian recipe for Adjarian khachapuri, which will bring your family together at the dinner table. Appetizing khachapuri can be served both hot and cold, but best of all hot.
Ingredients
Cooking process
Gradually sift the wheat flour through a sieve. Knead the dough, roll into a ball and place in a container greased with a little vegetable oil. Tighten with cling film or cover with a dry kitchen towel and leave at room temperature for about 40-50 minutes. Prepare the necessary ingredients for the filling.
Grate the cheese. Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll out. Place some grated cheese around the edges. Roll the edges towards the center. Blind the ends and shape into a boat. Then place on a baking sheet sprinkled with flour. Put the filling in the boats. Beat the chicken yolk and brush the edges of the boats with a silicone brush. Place a baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
Bake the khachapuri for about 25-30 minutes. After the time has passed, carefully so as not to burn yourself, remove the khachapuri, slightly press down the cheese filling with a tablespoon and make a depression in the center. Gently beat a chicken egg into each boat. Place the khachapuri in the oven for another 5-7 minutes.
Bon Appetit!
