Megrelian khachapuri take a worthy place among the wide variety of this pastry. The surface of the khachapuri is covered with an attractive and tempting baked cheese crust. Amazing aroma, abundance of cheese and soft yeast dough - this is how you can describe this wonderful dish.

Sift about 200 g of wheat flour into a deep container, then add granulated sugar, salt and dry yeast here. Mix all the ingredients.

The milk must be boiled. Then add butter to hot milk, wait for it to dissolve. When the liquid base cools down to at least 37 degrees, pour it into the prepared dry mixture.

Mix all components thoroughly until a homogeneous structure is obtained. Then add vegetable oil to the dough. Mix again.

We start kneading the dough by hand. Add flour and knead the dough until it stops sticking to your palms. The resulting mass must be rolled into a ball, transferred to a bowl and left in a warm place for 60 minutes.

Rub the cheese on a coarse grater. Set aside 4 tablespoons of grated cheese. Mix the rest of the cheese shavings with sour cream. Add some salt if necessary. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 220 degrees.
