Khachapuri with cheese in a pan

Khachapuri can be successfully cooked in a pan. It's quick, simple and just as tasty as the classic oven baked version. These khachapuri are perfect for breakfast, dinner or just a hearty snack.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
To prepare the dough, break the egg into a large bowl, add salt and sugar. Shake all the ingredients with a fork until smooth. Pour in milk whey and vegetable oil, mix. Sift flour with baking powder on top of the liquid mixture and knead a soft, pliable dough.
step 2 out of 9
Divide the finished dough into equal pieces. Sprinkle a small amount of flour on the work surface.
step 3 out of 9
Roll each piece of dough into a thin circle using a rolling pin.
step 4 out of 9
Rub the cheese on a coarse grater. You can use different types of cheese - then the taste will turn out to be more voluminous and richer.
step 5 out of 9
Pour a small amount of grated cheese onto the center of the circle from the rolled dough, leaving the edges of the circle empty.
step 6 out of 9
We wrap the edges towards the center according to the envelope principle, thus closing the cheese filling. Using the rolling pin, roll out the circle again and press the closed edges in the center.
step 7 out of 9
Heat a frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil on the stove and put the khachapuri on it. At medium-low temperature, fry the product until golden brown with the lid open. Turn over and continue to fry until the other side is browned.
step 8 out of 9
We put the finished khachapuri in a stack on a flat plate, smearing each with butter for juiciness and greater softness.
step 9 out of 9
Even hot khachapuri, if desired, can be sprinkled with grated cheese on a fine grater.

Bon Appetit!
