Khachapuri with cottage cheese in a pan

A large flatbread with a lot of cheese and cottage cheese can be both a hearty snack and a delicious family breakfast. A juicy and aromatic dish is not difficult to prepare and does not take long.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Pour kefir into a bowl, add salt, sugar and soda, slaked with vinegar. Stir the mixture thoroughly.
step 2 out of 5
Divide the flour conditionally into 3 parts and sift in parts into kefir, whisking after each. You should get a dense dough that is difficult to knead with a spoon. Sprinkle the surface with flour, put the dough on it and knead well with your hands. Transfer it to a bag and let it sit for 20 minutes.
step 3 out of 5
Grate the cheese finely, transfer to a plate. Mash the cottage cheese with a fork and put it to the cheese. Pour in a pinch of salt, add crushed garlic. Mix thoroughly and conditionally divide into 4 parts.
step 4 out of 5
Take ¼ part of the dough and first form a ball, and then roll out of it into a thin cake. Spread the filling in half and cover with a second semicircle, holding the edges well together.
step 5 out of 5
Use a rolling pin to roll out the khachapuri with minimal pressure, giving it a thinner look, but do not overdo it so that the filling does not come out through the dough. Fry the cakes in a hot skillet with enough oil until golden brown on both sides. Place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Bon Appetit!
