Kharcho in a multicooker-pressure cooker

Kharcho cooks faster in a multicooker-pressure cooker (40 minutes), and in a simple multicooker it takes at least 1.5 hours. The soup is very aromatic and tasty, although it is cooked on pork ribs and with the addition of potatoes, which is excluded in the classic recipe. Walnuts are added to taste as they often give it a purple hue.

Rinse pork ribs and cut into pieces by bone. Peel and rinse potatoes and onions. Rinse the rice a little too.

Chop the peeled onion into small cubes.

Put the required amount of tomato sauce in the bowl of this device and add vegetable oil to it.

Then transfer the chopped onions to the bowl and, without closing the lid, fry them on the frying program for 15 minutes.

During this time, chop the peeled garlic with a knife.

Cut the peeled potatoes into pieces of any size and shape.

Place the pork ribs, rice, chopped potatoes and garlic in the bowl for the onions fried by this time.

Then pour 2 liters of clean water into the bowl. With this amount of water, the kharcho will be rich and thick, if this consistency does not suit you, then pour more water.

Close the lid of the multicooker-pressure cooker and set the valve to the "High pressure" position. Turn on the Soup program. The cooking time for this device is 40 minutes. At the end of the program and carefully lift the valve to remove the hot steam. You can wait for a while and the pressure in the device will naturally return to normal.
