Bread kvass with dry yeast

Dry yeast, unlike fresh pressed yeast, can be stored for a long time at home. With their use, you can bake pies, fry pancakes, and you can even make homemade bread kvass. This drink turns out to be quite a bit sweet, which is an advantage in the heat.

Be sure to check the expiration date of the yeast before using it, otherwise it may simply not work.

Pour a little less than 3 liters of warm boiled water into a jar. Pour granulated sugar into it and stir. Add kvass wort, shake again. Pour dry yeast and crackers into the kvass blank. Do not stir. Cover the jar from midges with a thin towel, leave to infuse at room temperature for 24 hours.

The next day, strain the kvass, pour it into clean plastic bottles using a funnel and put it in the refrigerator.
