Cold raspberry jam

Raspberries are a healthy berry that contains a large amount of vitamins and nutrients. Fresh raspberry jam, not subjected to heat treatment, retains the taste and all the benefits of fresh berries. This jam can be used as a filling for baked goods, a filler for yogurt and cottage cheese, or with a cup of hot tea.

For making raspberry jam without heat treatment, we select only good quality berries. We sort out the berries from the leaves and stalks. If the berries are homemade, you do not need to rinse them. If the berries are purchased, it is advisable to rinse them under running cool water, transferring them to a colander. We leave the berries for 15-20 minutes to drain the water.

We shift the raspberries into a container and fall asleep 1.5 kg. Sahara. Leave the raspberries at room temperature for 30-40 minutes to let the juice flow.

After the juice has emerged from the raspberries, grind it with a wooden spoon in several steps until the sugar is completely dissolved.

We lay out the finished raspberry puree on pre-sterilized jars, without reporting 1-1.5 cm to the edges of the jar, pour 2-3 tablespoons of sugar into each jar on top and tighten the jars with boiled lids. We send such jam for storage to the refrigerator. Sealed jars are stored in the refrigerator for about a year. An open jar is stored for several days, so it is advisable to roll the jam into 200-250 gram jars.
