Figs through a meat grinder for the winter

The skins are removed from the figs and passed through a meat grinder. Everything is mixed with sugar, put on fire and cooked for an hour. The resulting mass is poured into sterilized jars and tightly closed with lids.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Rinse the figs thoroughly under running water and dry them with a paper towel. Cut off the tails from it and remove the skin. This will make the jam more tender.
step 2 out of 6
Scroll the peeled figs through a meat grinder to get a homogeneous mass.
step 3 out of 6
We shift everything into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add granulated sugar, mix thoroughly with a silicone spatula and put on a small fire.
step 4 out of 6
Bring to a boil and remove the resulting foam. Cook for one hour, until the mixture acquires a golden color.
step 5 out of 6
We shift the jam into pre-sterilized jars and tighten the lids tightly.
step 6 out of 6
Let the contents cool completely and send them to a dark dry place or store them in the refrigerator. We take it out in winter and serve it with hot tea or use it as a filling in baked goods. Bon Appetit!
