Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
First, thoroughly rinse the figs under running water. It is important to choose whole fruits. In each berry, we make several punctures with a toothpick. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil and send figs into it. Cook for about 4-5 minutes.
step 2 out of 6
We discard the figs in a colander and let the liquid drain completely.
step 3 out of 6
Pour 300 ml of water into a saucepan and pour all the granulated sugar into it. We put on medium heat, bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 4 out of 6
We send figs into the finished sugar syrup, reduce the temperature and cook everything for half an hour.
step 5 out of 6
Squeeze juice from a whole lemon into a saucepan with figs. Cook everything for another 10 minutes and remove from heat.
step 6 out of 6
We transfer everything to pre-sterilized jars, tighten the lids tightly, wrap it in a towel or blanket and leave it to cool completely. Then we send it to a place suitable for storage. Serve with hot tea. Bon Appetit!
