How to salt lard in brine in the refrigerator

Using this simple recipe, you can quickly cook soft, tender and moderately salted bacon, although a fairly strong brine is used. This is the taste that many prefer. For this appetizer, choose lard with layers of meat: brisket or neck. You can salt in any dish.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Rinse the bacon for preparing this snack with cold water, be sure to scrape the skin with a knife. Pat dry with a paper towel and cut into random sized pieces.
step 2 out of 6
In a separate bowl, cook the brine at the rate of 150 g of salt per liter of water, it is this ratio of water and salt that will make the bacon soft and tasty.
step 3 out of 6
In a clean plastic container, place the pieces of bacon in two layers, shifting them with slices of peeled garlic, laurel leaves and sprinkle with black pepper.
step 4 out of 6
Then pour the lard with spices with the prepared brine. If your bacon is soft, then fill it with chilled brine, and if it is a little harsh, pour it hot, so the meat will be softer.
step 5 out of 6
Then mix the lard in the brine a little. Cover the dishes with a lid and refrigerate for 3 days. If the brine was hot, cool everything down to home temperature first. Place a small weight on top so that the bacon is completely immersed in the brine.
step 6 out of 6
After this time, your snack will be completely ready. Serve such bacon with onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and black bread.

Bon Appetit!
