How to salt lard in brine in a saucepan

Salting the lard properly so that it is soft and spicy is a real art. Lard brine, with spices and garlic turns out to be especially appetizing. The tasty appetizer will definitely appeal to relatives and guests!

We wash the bacon and cut it into cubes of about 5 by 7 cm.

Peel the garlic and divide it into slices.

Add salt, bay leaf and black peppercorns to the water. We put it on fire and bring to a boil, let the water boil for another 3 minutes. Cool the water down to room temperature.

We immerse the bacon in water and add the garlic. We cover the pan with a plate and place a jar of water on top.

We keep the bacon under pressure in a saline solution for 24 hours. Then we drain the water and dry the bacon in paper towels.

We wrap the bacon in cellophane and send it to the freezer for several hours.

Tip: before sending it to the freezer, you can rub the prepared bacon with spices, then its taste will turn out to be more spicy.
