How to prepare birch sap for the winter

Fresh birch sap, as a healthy and tasty natural drink, quickly sours even in the refrigerator, so housewives can preserve it using various methods and with various additives. Many recognize the best preparation of juice with citrus fruits, which give the juice a delicate aroma, taste and beautiful color. It is not difficult to prepare sap, but it takes a lot of time, since usually a large amount of birch sap is processed. The ingredients in the recipe are for 3 liters of juice.

First of all, we sterilize the jars in any way and boil the seaming lids in a small saucepan. Since the jars are large, the easiest way to sterilize them is in the oven.

I wash the oranges thoroughly with a brush to remove all chemicals from the surface, and be sure to scald them with boiling water.

Then cut the oranges into thin slices and remove the seeds. On average, take 1 orange in a 3-liter jar and scald the knife with boiling water.

Put orange circles in sterile jars and pour the amount of lemon and sugar indicated in the recipe.

Pour the juice into a separate saucepan and bring it to a boil over high heat, after which we make the fire minimal and proceed to pouring the juice.

We put a jar of oranges on a towel or a stand and a ladle, also scalded with boiling water, pour boiling juice into the jar, filling it to the very top.

We immediately roll up the jar of juice with a sterile lid, check the tightness of the sealing and put it on a blanket or towel, turning it upside down. Birch juice with orange is ready. After complete cooling, we sign the jar so that we do not forget what is in it later, and we transfer it to storage in a dark, cool place.

A good recipe is a minimum of sugar. I put only half a lemon wedge. No more need for everyone about juice drinking !!!
