How to bake beets in foil - baking time and temperature in the oven

It is better to bake beets for various dishes in the oven, rather than boil them. Thus, it retains more flavor and valuable vitamins. For baking, it is worth using a small size root vegetables - this way they cook faster. In foil, you can bake beets either individually, wrapping each root vegetable separately, or with the whole amount at once, placing the vegetables in a mold and tightening them with a shiny sheet. It is the last case that we will consider.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We select beets of the same size so that they are baked at the same time. Rinse the vegetables thoroughly under running water.
step 2 out of 6
If there are stems, then we cut them so that at the base there is a section a couple of centimeters long. We dry each beet.
step 3 out of 6
Cover the baking dish with foil with the shiny side up. The amount of foil should be sufficient to cover the surface of the beets with the edges. We put the prepared roots in a mold with foil.
step 4 out of 6
Cover the beets with the hanging edges of the foil on all sides. We pinch the edges tightly.
step 5 out of 6
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 210 degrees. Place the beetroot pan in it and bake it for forty-five to sixty minutes. Towards the end of the baking time, we check the readiness of the beets: unfold the foil and pierce the beets with a toothpick: if it enters easily without resistance, then the roots are ready.
step 6 out of 6
We take out the form, remove the foil and let the root vegetables cool. Remove the peel before use. Alternatively, baked unpeeled beets can be folded into a container or plastic bag and kept in the refrigerator for two to three days.
Bon Appetit!
