Grilled squid on the grill

To grill squid on the grill, you have to tinker a little. First, peel the squid thoroughly. Secondly, prepare a fragrant marinade. Third, plan your marinating ahead of time. Before frying the squid, we recommend soaking the skewers in water so that they do not start to burn on the grill.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Cooking the squid marinade. Wash the parsley, dry it and finely chop it. Alternatively, grind in a blender bowl. Wash the lemon and dry it. Remove the zest and mix it with herbs. Pour olive oil and garlic passed through a press into the resulting mixture, as well as salt and black pepper. We mix everything together.
step 2 out of 6
We wash the squids with water, clean the surface, remove the internal cartilage. Remove the transparent film from the pulp. We cut the carcasses so that layers are obtained with a thickness of five to six centimeters.
step 3 out of 6
We put the prepared squid in a tight bag and then pour in the prepared marinade. Close the bag tightly and gently mix everything with your hands, trying to evenly distribute the mixture over all the squid pieces. We put the closed bag in the refrigerator for half an hour or an hour for pickling.
step 4 out of 6
After pickling, string each piece on a skewer according to the accordion principle, as in the photo.
step 5 out of 6
We prepare a grill with embers. We do not allow open flames. We send skewers with squid to the grill. You can put a piece of foil under the skewers on the free side so that they do not burn. Cooking the squid for five to seven minutes in total. Do not forget to turn over. A golden crust should form on the surface.
step 6 out of 6
Serve hot squid with lemon wedges and fresh herbs.
Bon Appetit!
