Pickled cabbage with beets and instant garlic

Cabbage, as the main vegetable of our table, is canned in different ways, experimenting with the amount of sugar, vinegar, salt and various spices and seasonings. And if you need it immediately and tasty - you can pickle cabbage with beets and garlic in a quick way. After 12 hours, you will have an original and beautiful appetizer. They marinate such cabbage in a 3-liter jar to eat in a few days and prepare a new portion.

The damaged outer leaves are removed from the cabbage head. Then the cabbage is rinsed with cold water, the excess liquid is shaken off and cut into large pieces of any shape.

Peel carrots and beets with a peeler. Then they are cut into thin circles or cubes, as you like. Garlic cloves are peeled and cut into slices. The pod of hot pepper, if added to your liking, is cleared of seeds.

A 3-liter jar is thoroughly washed with baking soda; you do not need to sterilize it. Then chopped beets, hot peppers and carrots are placed on the bottom of the jar. Slices of cabbage are tightly placed on top of them, sprinkled with black peppercorns and garlic slices. Place two mugs of beets and laurel leaves on top of the cabbage.

A liter of clean drinking water is boiled in a saucepan, the amount of sugar and salt specified in the recipe is dissolved in it, and 2 more bay leaves and black peppercorns are added. Other spices are added to your liking. Boil the marinade for 2-3 minutes over low heat and then pour vegetable slices in a jar.

The jar is loosely closed with a plastic lid or a piece of foil and left at home temperature for 8-10 hours. Then put in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours. After this time, the cabbage will marinate well, and it is served to the table, watered with any oil.
