Fans of baking with cabbage will love this pie. Firstly, the dough is friable, despite the wet filling - this is the "merit" of the mayonnaise included in the composition. Secondly, the cabbage filling stands out with a slight sourness, since we add a little tomato paste to it. Thirdly, the preparation of such a cake will not take much time, which is pleasant and especially valuable in the conditions of modern employment.

We prepare the filling first. Chop the cabbage with a knife or a special grater. Peel the onions and cut them into small cubes. Free the garlic from the husk and pass it through a press or grate it. In a frying pan, heat the mixture of vegetable and butter to a liquid state. Put the cabbage and onions in the oil. Add salt, black pepper, tomato paste and garlic gruel immediately. Stir everything together and simmer at medium heat until the cabbage is completely soft. This will take about fifteen minutes.
To prepare the dough, break the eggs into a deep bowl, add mayonnaise and sour cream. Pour baking powder and sifted flour on top. Knead the dough with a whisk or mixer. It is not necessary to beat for a long time, it is enough just to mix all the components and achieve homogeneity. The consistency of the mass should be smooth, of medium density.
We put the cake pan in an oven preheated to 180 degrees on a medium level. We bake the product for thirty five to forty minutes. During this time, the cake should brown well and slightly increase in volume. We take out the finished baked goods from the oven, cool slightly and remove from the mold. To prevent the pie crust from getting wet from condensation, place it on a wire rack to cool. Cut the pie into portions and serve warm or cold.
