Cabbage jellied pie on the stove in a frying pan

If baking in the oven seems difficult and time-consuming to you, this does not mean that homemade baking is in question. After all, you can cook great pies on the stove in a frying pan. For example, jellied with cabbage. It turns out to be very soft and slightly moist, but, nevertheless, porous. It is very important to choose the right skillet - it must have thick sides to prevent the cake from burning.

Cooking process

step 1 out of 10
Finely chop the cabbage with a knife or with a special grater. Squeeze the chopped mass well with your hands. We wash the green onions, dry them and chop them with a knife. Free the ham from the shell and cut into small cubes. In a volumetric bowl, mix all the prepared ingredients, also add salt to taste and black ground pepper.
step 2 out of 10
To prepare the dough, put the sour cream in a bowl and break the eggs. Add salt and granulated sugar. With a whisk, mix everything together until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Pour in milk and mix again.
step 3 out of 10
Pour flour and baking powder into the resulting liquid mixture, knead the dough. Stir all the lumps thoroughly.
step 4 out of 10
Pour some vegetable oil into a thick-walled pan and heat it well on the stove. We spread half of the kneaded dough, level it with a spatula or spoon.
step 5 out of 10
Put the cabbage filling on the dough, trying to distribute it evenly.
step 6 out of 10
Put the rest of the dough on top. We close the whole filling with the dough.
step 7 out of 10
Close the pan with a lid and set the stove temperature to medium-low. We fry the cake for fifteen to twenty minutes.
step 8 out of 10
Then turn the cake over to the other side using a flat plate. We turn the product from the pan onto a plate, and then slide it off the plate, with the pale side down, back into the pan. We continue frying, again closing the lid, for about ten minutes more at the same temperature.
step 9 out of 10
Transfer the finished pie from the pan to a serving plate. Sprinkle grated cheese on the hot surface - it should melt.
step 10 out of 10
Cut the pie into pieces and serve until warm.

Bon Appetit!
