Such a cake is made from batter with sour cream. It is kneaded very quickly, and the finished baked goods are tender, soft and literally melt in your mouth. In addition to cabbage, we suggest adding a little bit of carrots and onions to the filling - this adds additional flavor nuances and creates a color contrast. An important point: we recommend sprinkling the surface of the cake with sesame seeds. It gives a very pleasant nutty accent to the dough - the overall flavor of the pie benefits greatly from this.

To prepare the dough, put sour cream in a bowl. In general, you can use a product of absolutely any fat content, but it is on fatty sour cream that the dough turns out to be more crumbly, tasty and rich. Add eggs to sour cream and add salt. Beat everything together with a whisk manually or with a mixer until completely homogeneous.

Sift the flour through a sieve directly into a bowl with sour cream and egg mixture. Add baking powder. We again work with a whisk or mixer - the finished dough should turn out to be homogeneous, smooth, light, medium thick. In consistency, it resembles pancake dough.

To prepare the cabbage filling, thinly chop the white cabbage. Three peeled carrots on a coarse grater, cut onions into small cubes. Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan, pour onions and carrots into it and fry until soft for a few minutes. Then add the cabbage, mix and simmer everything together until the filling is completely soft. It will take approximately ten to fifteen minutes. At the end of cooking, salt to taste. Remove the cabbage from the stove and cool until warm. Pour the kneaded dough (half of the total amount) into a greased mold. Put the cabbage filling on the dough and evenly distribute it with a spatula over all areas.

Pour the second half of the dough onto the filling, trying to cover it completely. Sprinkle the surface of the dough with sesame seeds. By the way, both white and black sesame seeds, or a mixture thereof, are suitable.

Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees and set the cake pan to the middle level in it. The baking time for the cake will be approximately thirty to forty minutes. A cake in a mold with a diameter of 25 centimeters is baked in half an hour. The product slightly grows in volume and becomes covered with a pronounced golden crust. Remove the finished cake from the oven, carefully remove it from the mold and place it on the wire rack so that the crust does not get wet. Serve warm or cold.
