Cabbage jellied pie with sour cream and mayonnaise in a pan

It is quite possible to cook a delicious cabbage pie without the oven. Let's do this on the stove in a frying pan. It is important that the pan is thick-walled - in such dishes, the heating will be even, and the risk of burning is less. Knead the dough with sour cream and mayonnaise - it turns out to be light and bakes well. And in order for the cabbage to also have time to bake, after cutting it, we wrinkle it well with our hands - the pieces should soften noticeably and give off excess juice. By the way, such a pie turns out to be tastier from young cabbage.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Finely chop the cabbage with your hands or with a special grater. Sprinkle it with a little salt and knead it well with your hands to soften. We put the cabbage aside and move on to preparing the dough.
step 2 out of 9
Break eggs into a bowl, put mayonnaise and sour cream in the specified amount. Add salt, black pepper and granulated sugar. Peel the garlic, pass it through a press and also send it to a bowl.
step 3 out of 9
Mix everything together with a whisk until smooth. Then add flour and baking powder and mix again. It turns out a homogeneous rather liquid dough.
step 4 out of 9
Peel the potatoes, rinse and rub on a fine grater. Add the potato mass to the dough, mix well.
step 5 out of 9
We wash the dill and chop it with a knife. Put cabbage and greens squeezed by hands into the dough. Mix everything well together.
step 6 out of 9
We put a frying pan with a thick bottom on the stove. Pour a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil and heat it well. We spread the dough with cabbage in a pan and distribute the mass in an even layer over the entire area.
step 7 out of 9
Close the pan with a lid. The temperature of the plate is slightly above the minimum. We fry fifteen to twenty minutes on one side.
step 8 out of 9
After the specified time has elapsed, turn the cake over to the other side. You can do this with a wide, flat spatula. You can also tip the pie out of the skillet onto a flat plate, and then slide it back onto the skillet with the unfried side down. We continue frying without a lid for another five to ten minutes in the same temperature regime.
step 9 out of 9
Transfer the finished pie from the pan to a plate, let it cool slightly. Cut into pieces and serve until warm.

Bon Appetit!
