Rustic potato wedges baked in the oven

To prepare a delicious hearty hot snack, all you need is potatoes and spices! By the way, it is better to use young tubers, since country-style potatoes are cooked with the peel. So that the slices are baked evenly, cut them into the same size, not too large. We recommend serving these potatoes hot with tomato sauce or ketchup.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Since we will bake the potatoes with their skins, it is important to rinse them thoroughly under running water so that no contamination remains on the surface of the porous skins. Use a soft brush if necessary. After washing, spread the potatoes on a towel and dry each tuber well so that no excess moisture remains.
step 2 out of 6
After drying, cut each tuber lengthwise into thick slices, about one and a half centimeters. Then cut the slices across into thin slices of the same thickness. We focus on the photo. These potato slices are easy to eat and bake quickly and evenly.
step 3 out of 6
Place the sliced wedges in a wide bowl. Pour salt and paprika on top. Put the amount of spices to taste. Mix with your hands so that each slice is covered with spices.
step 4 out of 6
Cover the baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment. With this backing, you don't need to use any oil - the potatoes won't burn or stick. We lay out the potato wedges so that they do not touch each other. We preheat the oven to a temperature of 210 degrees. We send a baking sheet with potatoes to the middle level. We bake for thirty five to forty minutes.
step 5 out of 6
While the potatoes are in the oven, relax and watch the surface turn brown. You do not need to turn the slices.
step 6 out of 6
We take out the finished potatoes from the oven. Immediately transfer the hot wedges from the baking sheet to the serving plate. Serve with tomato sauce or ketchup.
Bon Appetit!
