Potato wedges with sour cream in the oven

Potato wedges can be served as an independent dish, as a side dish, as a hot snack, or when you just want something tasty. Depending on what spices and additives you use, the taste of potatoes will be different each time and please with new shades. In this recipe, we suggest using Provencal herbs, a little paprika and sour cream. The potato turns out to be fragrant, with delicate creamy notes and ruddy specks.

We cut off the peel from the potatoes, carefully wash the peeled tubers in running water.

We cut the washed potatoes into neat longitudinal medium-sized slices of approximately equal size. This is important as the pieces must be evenly baked. We dry the resulting slices and place them in a large bowl.

Pour Provencal herbs into a bowl on potatoes, a little paprika and salt to taste. Mix potatoes with spices with your hands.

Lightly grease the baking sheet with vegetable oil using a silicone brush. Alternatively, you can cover it with parchment or a silicone mat.

Put prepared potato wedges in spices on a baking sheet. We try to arrange them so that there is space around each piece - this way the baking will be faster and more active. Then, using a teaspoon, grease each piece with sour cream. It is good if it is a fatty product - from 20%. Such sour cream will give a pronounced creamy taste and a noticeable crust. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 190 degrees. We send a baking sheet with potatoes to the middle level. We bake the slices for forty to forty-five minutes, until a golden crust appears.

We take the finished potatoes out of the oven and immediately transfer them from the baking sheet to a serving plate. We serve hot with heat - with heat. An ideal accompaniment to such slices is various sauces: tomato, creamy, tkemali, and others.
