Kindergarten potato casserole with gravy

This delicate and nutritious dish for children is prepared only from boiled potatoes and meat boiled and twisted in a meat grinder. Minced meat is not used. A casserole with sour cream sauce is served.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 10
Peel the potatoes, wash and cook until cooked in salted water.
step 2 out of 10
Finely chop the onion and save a little in butter, and then stew with the addition of a spoonful of water. You can twist the onion in a meat grinder along with boiled meat.
step 3 out of 10
Put the minced meat from boiled meat (this can be pork, beef or chicken) into a frying pan with the onion, add a little water, salt and simmer it over low heat for several minutes under a covered lid so that the minced meat becomes juicy and does not crumble. You can add a chopped boiled egg to the minced meat.
step 4 out of 10
Drain the boiled potatoes, leaving a little at the bottom, pour hot milk to it and mash until porridge. Then add a raw egg and puree.
step 5 out of 10
Grease any baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs or semolina. Place one part of mashed potatoes in a baking dish and spread evenly.
step 6 out of 10
Place the minced meat on a layer of mashed potatoes and flatten it with a spoon and press it against the potatoes.
step 7 out of 10
Put the rest of the puree on top of the minced meat in an even layer, apply sour cream on its surface and sprinkle with a little breadcrumbs on the casserole. To your liking, you can replace the crackers with mayonnaise sauce, grated cheese or a beaten egg.
step 8 out of 10
Place the casserole dish in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 45 minutes. Cool the cooked casserole slightly so that the portioned pieces hold their shape better, and place it on plates.
step 9 out of 10
While the casserole is cooling, prepare the gravy for it. To do this, pour the broth into a separate saucepan, add sour cream, tomato paste (optional) and flour to it in the amount indicated in the recipe and whisk with a fork or whisk until smooth. Put a saucepan on low heat and cook the gravy, stirring it continuously, until it becomes thick. You can add dry herbs to it.
step 10 out of 10
You can change the amount of ingredients in the gravy to suit your personal taste. A delicious casserole for children is ready.

Bon appetit to you and your children!
