Potato casserole is made from raw and cooked potatoes. I want to suggest a recipe for a simple and delicious potato casserole with vegetables. The casserole is made from mashed potatoes.

Rinse medium-sized potatoes well, peel, transfer to a saucepan, salt, cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. While the potatoes are cooking, hard-boil a small chicken egg, cool and peel.

Rinse the carrots well, peel and chop into thin slices. Inspect the cabbage for dirt and damage, if necessary, rinse under running water, dry and finely chop with a knife.

Put a small amount of butter in a well-heated frying pan, add chopped carrots and cabbage, salt, mix well, fry until softened. Finely chop the peeled egg and add to the vegetables.

Cool the finished potatoes a little, and mash with a crush, gradually adding milk. You can also use a hand blender. Brush a baking dish with a little butter. Place half of the potatoes in a mold and flatten. Spread the fried vegetables and egg on top.

Place the remaining mashed potatoes on top in an even layer. Spoon the sour cream out and spread it evenly over the entire surface. Send the form into a well-preheated oven for 20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
