Chum salmon on the grill on the grill

Chum salmon on the wire rack is very tasty! Those who love meat kebab will appreciate this option for cooking fish on the grill. Pre-marinate the fish in a mixture of lemon juice, olive oil and spices. If a small carcass is available, it is better not to cut it into transverse pieces, but to cut it into a whole fillet - this way more natural juice in the fish pulp will be preserved.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
My fish, carefully gutted, cut off the head and fins. We rinse the inner cavity again and then dry the fish well with a paper towel inside and out. If the fish is large, then we cut it into transverse steaks two to two and a half centimeters thick. If the chum salmon is small, then we cut it into whole fillets.
step 2 out of 5
We put the cut pieces of fish in a suitable dish, sprinkle with salt to taste and add a mixture of ground peppers. We chop the bay leaf into small pieces in our hands and pour it onto the fish. Pour the chum salmon with olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
step 3 out of 5
We rub the resulting marinade over the pieces of fish with our hands or close the dishes with a lid and shake them so that the spices and juices are evenly distributed throughout the fish. Leave to marinate for an hour.
step 4 out of 5
We put chum salmon on the wire rack. It is better to pre-grease the grill with a small amount of vegetable oil so that the fish flesh does not deform later when removed. We bake the chum salmon on a grill on the grill with smoldering coals for about twenty-five to thirty minutes, periodically turning over for even browning.
step 5 out of 5
Remove the finished fish from the wire rack, place it on a serving dish and decorate with dill and thin slices of lemon. Serve hot. Boiled young potatoes and fresh vegetables are ideal for such fish.
Bon Appetit!
