Tomato, plum and apple ketchup

Homemade ketchup from plums, tomatoes and sweet and sour apples has a balanced taste and good thickness. It is a great natural substitute for store-bought tomato-based sauces.

Sort the tomatoes thoroughly and wash. Cut the fruit into quarters and squeeze the tomato juice out of them through a juicer.

Wash the plums and remove the seeds. Remove the peel from the apples, cut the core. Peel the onion. Cut all the ingredients into slices and mince. Mix with tomato puree.

Add granulated sugar and salt. Mix well and put on low heat. Boil the ketchup under the lid for 1 hour, and also for 1 hour without the lid. At the end of cooking, add pepper and vinegar. Boil the mass for a few more minutes and pour into sterile jars, roll up.
