The original homemade ketchup is made from green tomatoes. Due to the slight acidity of the vegetable, the dressing is very bright in taste. It can be served with meat and fish dishes, as well as side dishes.

We wash green tomatoes thoroughly, getting rid of any contamination. Pre-grate the ginger root.

Grind the tomatoes and the peeled onion. Combine vegetables in a saucepan with ginger and mix thoroughly. Add salt, sugar, vinegar and spices to taste. Simmer over low heat for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
