Classic julienne with chicken, mushrooms and cream in the oven

Julienne is a French cuisine dish that gets its name from the way food is cut into strips. The classic julienne consists of boiled chicken fillet, sautéed onions and fried mushrooms, which are baked in a creamy sauce made with cream, flour and spices. Julienne is baked in small tins in the oven under an appetizing cheese crust.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
We wash the chicken fillet in cool running water, remove the films and cut into small cubes. We spread the fillets in a preheated pan with vegetable oil and fry until tender.
step 2 out of 7
Peel the onions, rinse and chop them into small cubes. Put the onion in a frying pan and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
step 3 out of 7
We wash the mushrooms and put them on a kitchen towel so that they dry from the water. Then chop the mushrooms into thin slices and fry over medium heat until the moisture evaporates.
step 4 out of 7
Combine the onion and mushrooms, fry for 1-2 minutes, then send the chopped chicken fillet into the pan, stir and simmer over low heat for 3-4 minutes, then remove from heat.
step 5 out of 7
Put butter in a preheated pan, dissolve it over low heat and add flour, mix and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add cream in small portions, while constantly stirring the mass so that there are no lumps.
step 6 out of 7
Add the sauce to the main ingredients, salt and pepper, add the nutmeg and mix well.
step 7 out of 7
Lay out the julienne in the shapes, sprinkle with finely grated cheese and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. We take out the finished julienne from the oven and serve it on the table. Bon Appetit!
