Apricot compote with lemon and orange is a delicious preparation for the winter, which will give you memories of a warm sunny summer on a cold winter evening. Delicious honey apricots combined with citrus fruits are somewhat reminiscent of the taste of forfeits. From the specified ingredients, we get one three-liter jar of compote.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
To prepare compote, choose ripe apricots that keep their shape well. We rinse them under running water, let the water drain a little. Divide each apricot into two halves with a sharp knife and take out the bone.
step 2 out of 6
Wash citrus fruits well under warm water and pour over boiling water. We choose a thin-skinned lemon, since we will use it together with the peel for seaming, and the thick peel can be bitter.
step 3 out of 6
Cut the orange and lemon into small slices.
step 4 out of 6
Put orange and lemon slices on the bottom of a clean dry jar, put the apricot halves on top and add sugar. Put a pot of water on the fire and bring to a boil.
step 5 out of 6
After the water has boiled, pour boiling water into a jar of fruit to the very neck and let it stand for 1-2 minutes so that all the air comes out of the jar.
step 6 out of 6
We close the jar with a boiled lid and turn the jar upside down. We wrap the jar with a terry towel and leave until it cools completely, after which we remove the seaming for storage in a dark place.
