Apricot pitted compote with orange

The appearance of this drink is very deceiving, since in color it resembles dried fruit compote (pale yellow), no taste is expected from it, but in vain. Thanks to the combination of sweet apricots and sweet and sour citrus fruits, this compote has a very rich taste and aroma.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Ripe, dense apricots are thoroughly washed under running water and placed in a colander, allowing all unnecessary liquid to drain off.
step 2 out of 6
We also rinse the citrus and cut into rings, and then into quarters. 3-4 rings will be enough for a liter jar.
step 3 out of 6
In any way convenient for you, sterilize the jars and, without waiting for them to cool, put fruits in them.
step 4 out of 6
It's time to prepare the filling of the future compote: dissolve granulated sugar in water and put it on the stove, cook over low heat for no more than 2-3 minutes until the crystals are completely dissolved.
step 5 out of 6
Pour hot syrup into cans and sterilize a second time, for this, put a piece of clean cloth on the bottom of a large saucepan, lower the cans and fill with water up to the “neck” of the cans. We continue sterilization for about 20-25 minutes.
step 6 out of 6
Roll up the finished drink and put it on the lids until it cools completely. Store in a dark place. Enjoy!
