Apricot compote with lemon

I love the combination of sweet fruits with citrus fruits. I want to share with you a recipe for a fragrant apricot compote with lemon. Compote turns out to be moderately sweet with a pleasant lemon aroma and light acidity. You can adjust the amount of ingredients yourself.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Prepare the necessary ingredients for a fragrant lemon and apricot compote. Put ripe but strong apricots in a colander or sieve, rinse thoroughly and let the excess liquid drain.
step 2 out of 8
Wash the lemon, pour over boiling water and dry. Cut into half rings. Prepare the jars, wash them thoroughly and sterilize them in the oven or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a saucepan.
step 3 out of 8
Place apricots and a few slices of lemon on the bottom of sterile jars.
step 4 out of 8
Fill the jars with fruit with pre-prepared boiling water, cover with sterile lids and leave to brew for 30-35.
step 5 out of 8
Pour the water into a saucepan, add the required amount of granulated sugar. Stir until the granulated sugar crystals are completely dissolved, put on medium heat and bring to a boil.
step 6 out of 8
Pour fruit jars with the resulting syrup.
step 7 out of 8
Cover the compote jars and roll up with a seaming machine. Turn the cans of lemon and apricot compote upside down. Leave in this position until it cools completely for about a day, wrapped in a warm blanket.
step 8 out of 8
Then turn the jars over and move them to a cool, dark place for long-term storage.

Enjoy!
