Apricot compote with mint for the winter

Today we will prepare a delicious refreshing drink made from apricots and mint, which quenches thirst well and is an excellent alternative to store-bought juices and drinks. Making apricot-mint compote does not take much time, and you can enjoy it throughout the winter.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
For the preparation of the compote, we chose juicy, not overripe apricots, so that during the cooking process they retain their shape. We rinse them under a stream of warm running water and leave them on a towel for 10-15 minutes so that they dry out a little. Then carefully cut each apricot and remove the pit. Put the peeled apricots in a prepared clean jar.
step 2 out of 7
We wash the mint sprigs with cool running water and put them in a jar. At this time, pour water into a saucepan and put on fire. Bring the water to a boil.
step 3 out of 7
Pour boiling water into the jar up to the neck, cover the jar with a lid and leave for 5-7 minutes.
step 4 out of 7
Then pour the water from the jar back into the pan, add sugar, mix and bring to a boil.
step 5 out of 7
Add citric acid to a jar of apricots and pour the boiled syrup.
step 6 out of 7
Close the jar tightly with a lid, turn it upside down and leave it at room temperature until the compote has completely cooled down.
step 7 out of 7
Put the finished apricot compote with mint for storage in a dark, cool place.
