Cherry plum and apple compote

I want to share a simple recipe for a fragrant cherry plum and apple compote. I categorically do not accept store drinks, so I prepare compotes in large quantities on my own. I love experiments, so every year compote with a new taste is added to the recipe box.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Wash and dry the apples. Peel the washed apples from the core and seeds, and then cut into wedges.
step 2 out of 8
Sort the cherry plum thoroughly, choose strong fruits, put in a sieve, rinse thoroughly and let the excess liquid drain.
step 3 out of 8
Prepare jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the oven or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids. Put the sliced apples on the bottom of sterile jars, then put the cherry plum on top of the apples.
step 4 out of 8
Boil water and pour over prepared fruit jars. Cover with lids and leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes.
step 5 out of 8
Drain the water carefully into a saucepan.
step 6 out of 8
Add the required amount of granulated sugar and citric acid. Stir and bring to a boil.
step 7 out of 8
Pour fruit jars with the resulting syrup. Cover the jars of compote with lids and carefully roll up with a seaming machine. Turn the cans of cherry plum and apple compote upside down. Leave in this form until it cools completely, wrapping the jars in a warm blanket.
step 8 out of 8
Then turn the jars over and move them to a cool, dark place for long-term storage.

Enjoy!
