Cherry plum compote for the winter recipe for a 3-liter jar

Today we will prepare cherry plum compote. We will cook it from red cherry plum, the compote from it turns out to be a beautiful pink color, and it also has a juicy pulp with sourness, the taste of which we will add with sugar and citric acid. Thanks to this, the compote acquires a rich taste and will perfectly quench your thirst.

To prepare compote, select a dense ripe cherry plum. We put it in a colander and rinse it under warm running water. Leave for 10-15 minutes in a colander to glass the water.

Put cherry plum in a prepared sterilized jar and add citric acid.

We put a pot of water on the stove, bring to a boil and pour boiling water into a jar, filling it by 1/3. Cover with a lid and leave for 3-4 minutes. Then add boiling water to the neck of the jar, cover it with a lid and leave it for 10-15 minutes so that the cherry plum steamed a little.

After the time has elapsed, we put on a special lid with holes on the jar and pour the water back into the pan. Add sugar to it and put the pan on fire. Bring the syrup to a boil and simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

Pour the hot syrup slowly into the jar and close the lid tightly.

Turn the jar of compote upside down, cover it with a terry towel and leave it at room temperature until it cools completely. Then we remove the compote in a cool dark place for storage.
