Watermelon and apple compote for the winter

Compotes can be prepared from almost any berries and fruits. The main thing is that the raw materials are not spoiled, since the unpleasant taste will completely pass into the drink. We offer a combination of apples and watermelon. The latter can be taken slightly unripe - a great way to dispose of the unsweetened pulp.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We prepare syrup for compote: pour water into a saucepan and add granulated sugar. Place the pot on the stove and bring the syrup to a boil.
step 2 out of 5
Cut the watermelon into pieces, separate the pulp from the rind, remove all the seeds. Cut the selected pulp into small cubes.
step 3 out of 5
Wash apples, cut into quarters and cut out the seed box.
step 4 out of 5
First, put the prepared apples into the boiling syrup, bring to a boil, cook one - one and a half minutes at a low boil. Then add the chopped watermelon, mix gently, bring to a boil and cook for another minute. Banks and lids are washed and sterilized in any way possible. First put the pieces of fruit into sterile jars with a slotted spoon, and then pour in the syrup.
step 5 out of 5
We roll up the cans with compote with lids, turn them upside down to check the tightness. Let the seaming cool completely. We put it in a cool dark place for storage. In such a compote, not only liquid is tasty, but also pieces of fruit.
Bon Appetit!
