Watermelon compote for a 3 liter jar for the winter

Watermelon compote is an excellent refreshing drink that will remind you of summer with its taste on winter days. This compote is also useful for people suffering from kidney disease. For such a seaming, you can dispose of watermelons, which are not particularly sweet, as this can be easily corrected by adding additional sugar.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Prepare the syrup immediately. Pour granulated sugar into a saucepan and pour in the specified amount of water. Place the saucepan on the stove and bring the syrup to a boil.
step 2 out of 5
While the syrup is heating, we cut the watermelon: cut into pieces, cut off the crusts, remove the seeds. Cut the pulp into cubes no more than two to three centimeters in size. Dip watermelon cubes into boiling syrup, cook for two minutes.
step 3 out of 5
Wash the jar and lid and sterilize in any way possible. Put slices of blanched watermelon into a clean jar using a slotted spoon. Then pour in the remaining syrup up to the neck.
step 4 out of 5
We roll up the compote with a lid, turn the jar upside down to check the tightness. Let cool. We put it in a cool dark place for storage.
step 5 out of 5
We serve such compote chilled, if necessary, it can be diluted with water or soda.
Bon Appetit!
