Lingonberry compote for 1 liter jar for the winter

Preparing lingonberry compote is half an hour's work. We wash the berries, put them in sterile jars, pour boiling water. Drain the infusion, mix with sugar, bring to a boil and pour back into the jars. It remains to roll up the compote with lids and wait for it to cool. Ready! The indicated proportions are calculated for one liter jar - the compote turns out to be quite saturated, when consumed, it can be diluted with water to the desired taste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Lingonberries must be sorted out from garbage, we throw away defective specimens of berries. Rinse the prepared lingonberries thoroughly in a colander. Let the water drain. We wash and sterilize jars and lids in any usual way.
step 2 out of 6
We lay out the washed lingonberries on sterile jars.
step 3 out of 6
Fill the lingonberries in jars with boiling water so that it reaches the neck. We cover the cans with a lid. We withstand ten to fifteen minutes for heat exposure and partial sterilization.
step 4 out of 6
Then we pour the liquid into a saucepan (so that the berries do not get into the pan, it is convenient to use a special lid with holes), pour granulated sugar into it, mix and put on the stove. Bring to a boil.
step 5 out of 6
Re-pour lingonberries in jars with boiling syrup. We roll up the hot compote with sterile lids using a special seaming key.
step 6 out of 6
We turn the jars upside down to check the tightness, wrap them with a blanket and in this position leave them to cool slowly for passive sterilization. After cooling, put the compote in a cool, dark place.
Bon Appetit!
