Lingonberry compote for a 2 liter jar for the winter

Lingonberry compote will delight the whole family with its rich berry taste. In winter, such a drink will not only serve to quench your thirst, but will also be a source of vitamins. According to these proportions, we will prepare two liters of compote. If you plan to make a large-scale harvesting, multiply the proportions in accordance with the weight of the available berries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We sort out the lingonberries from the garbage, discard the defective berries. Thoroughly wash the prepared lingonberries and dry them slightly.
step 2 out of 6
We thoroughly rinse the jar and lid and sterilize in any usual way. Place the washed lingonberries in a sterile jar.
step 3 out of 6
Bring water for compote to a boil. Fill the lingonberries in a jar with boiling water so that it reaches the neck. We cover the jar with a lid and let it stand for ten to fifteen minutes for heat.
step 4 out of 6
Then we pour the liquid into a saucepan through a special lid with holes (or just through a clean sieve), pour granulated sugar into it, mix and put on the stove. Bring to a boil.
step 5 out of 6
Pour the lingonberries in the jar with boiling syrup again. We roll up the finished compote with a sterile lid using a seaming key.
step 6 out of 6
We turn the jar upside down to check the tightness, wrap it with a blanket and leave it to cool slowly for passive sterilization. After cooling, remove the compote for storage in a dark, cool place.
Bon Appetit!
