Whole apricot compote

I recommend making a fragrant compote from whole apricots. It tastes exactly the same as a pitted apricot compote. I use this recipe almost always when you need to roll up a large amount of compotes and save time.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Prepare the jars, wash them thoroughly and sterilize them in the oven or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a saucepan. Sort ripe apricots, put in a sieve or colander, rinse thoroughly and let the excess liquid drain. Place the apricots on the bottom of sterile jars.
step 2 out of 8
Pour jars of apricots with pre-prepared boiling water, cover with sterile lids and leave to brew for 20-25 minutes.
step 3 out of 8
Then drain the water into the saucepan in which you will cook the syrup.
step 4 out of 8
Add the required amount of granulated sugar. Put on medium heat, completely dissolve granulated sugar and bring to a boil.
step 5 out of 8
Pour apricot jars with the resulting syrup.
step 6 out of 8
Apricot jars should be completely filled with syrup.
step 7 out of 8
Cover with sterile lids and roll up with a seaming machine. Turn the jars of whole apricot compote upside down. Leave as it is until it cools completely, wrapping it in a tea towel or warm blanket.
step 8 out of 8
Then, turn over the compote jars and transfer to a cool, dark place for long-term storage.

Enjoy!
