Cherry compote in a 1-liter jar for the winter

Sweet cherry is a sweet product. If you want the drink to be less sweet, add citric acid along with sugar to it. Cherry fruits can be either light or dark.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
First, we need to sort out the cherries. To do this, take the required amount and remove the tails. Then we discard the rotten fruits, and put the suitable ones immediately into a colander. We wash the cherries and let them drain.
step 2 out of 5
To roll compote, we need a liter jar. First, it needs to be cleaned and rinsed. Then pour in some water and place the container in the microwave. We sterilize for about five minutes. The lid can be boiled in a saucepan on the stove.
step 3 out of 5
We spread the cherries on the bottom of the jar. Now the fruits need to be poured with boiling water. You can boil water in any convenient way. Covering the jar with a lid, let the compote brew for 15 minutes.
step 4 out of 5
Pour 150 grams of sugar into a saucepan. After 15 minutes, pour the infused liquid from the jar to the sugar without cherries. When the sweet infusion boils, pour cherries with it.
step 5 out of 5
Now the container should be rolled up and turned over. We store the compote until it cools under a warm blanket.
Bon Appetit!
