Cherry compote in a 2-liter jar for the winter

Cherries are not particularly suitable for freezing. However, fresh fruits make a very tasty drink, especially if you mix cherries with other ingredients - berries and fruits. The fruit also makes an excellent jam.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
First, the cherries need to get rid of the "tails". Then remove the spoiled fruits and rinse using a colander. After this stage has been passed, the fruits must be poured with cool water and left for 15 minutes.
step 2 out of 5
We sterilize a well-washed and cleaned jar. We do the same with the lid. Put the washed cherries on the bottom of the jar.
step 3 out of 5
Now you need to wash and cut the lemon into round slices. Spread half of the round lemon slices over the cherry. It remains only to pour the ingredients with boiled water.
step 4 out of 5
Pour water into a kettle or pot. When the liquid boils, pour it into the jar with a thin stream. Compote should be infused for 20 minutes under a closed lid.
step 5 out of 5
We drain the water into a saucepan, being careful that the cherries and lemons do not fall behind. After filling in the sugar, bring the infusion to a boil. Fill with cherries and lemon. Turn the rolled up jar and wrap it with a warm blanket.
Bon Appetit!
