Cherry pitted compote with citric acid for the winter

In order for the cherry compote to be stored all winter and even longer, you must follow a few simple rules, then the cans will definitely not "explode" and you can indulge yourself with a vitamin drink.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
For rolling compote, you can choose any kind of sweet cherry. Or mix them, then you get a drink that is very interesting in appearance and taste. Cherry fruits need to be thoroughly rinsed and removed from the stalks. If you come across spoiled fruits, it is better to throw them away.
step 2 out of 5
While excess moisture is draining from the cherry fruits, we prepare the container. After treatment with soda and thorough rinsing, the jar must be heat treated, and the lid must be boiled for about five minutes.
step 3 out of 5
When the cherries are dry, put them on the bottom of the jar. Then we move it into a saucepan, the bottom of which is covered with a towel in advance. Pour hot water into a saucepan so that it reaches the "shoulder" of the jar.
step 4 out of 5
Pour water for compote into a separate container. When it boils, add the required amount of sugar and stir the liquid for a couple of minutes to dissolve the sugar. Pour in citric acid and pour cherry syrup.
step 5 out of 5
We immediately cover the container with a lid. We sterilize the compote for 20 minutes. After this time, roll up the can and turn it over. If the container does not leak, wrap it up and leave it for a while to cool down.
Bon Appetit!
