Cherry compote with seeds in liter jars for the winter

Homemade compote is a great alternative to purchased juices. The composition is checked and approved by the hostess, the quality of the drink is always under control. We offer a recipe for sweet cherry compote. To add an interesting flavor to the compote, add mint, cardamom and orange zest to the compote - a very pleasant combination.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We sort out the cherries from the debris, cut off the stalks, thoroughly rinse the berries. We wash and sterilize jars and lids in any usual way.
step 2 out of 5
Put washed mint leaves, freshly picked orange peel and ground cardamom in a sterile jar. Lay the cherries on top.
step 3 out of 5
Fill the cherries in a jar with boiling water up to the neck. Cover the jar with a lid and leave for thirty minutes to steam. Then we pour the resulting hot mood into a saucepan, pour granulated sugar into it, mix and put on the stove. Bring to a boil.
step 4 out of 5
Add citric acid to the syrup, mix, boil for one minute. Re-pour the cherries with boiling syrup and screw the jar with a sterile lid.
step 5 out of 5
We turn the jar with the lid down to check the tightness, cover it with a blanket and leave it in this position to cool slowly for passive sterilization. After cooling, remove the compote for storage in a cool, dark place.
Bon Appetit!
