When the water starts to boil, pour granulated sugar into it. Stir the solution constantly to dissolve the crystals faster. After the sugar, add citric acid to the syrup. Thanks to this ingredient, your compote will definitely be able to reach the winter. You don't have to worry that it might deteriorate. When the sugar syrup is ready, remove it from the stove.

Transfer dry berries to a jar. Pour the prepared sugar syrup over them. Screw the cover back on gently. Make sure that cracks and other damage do not appear on the surface of the can.
