With the addition of orange, the drink is richer and more interesting. For more piquancy, mint and cinnamon can be added to the compote. It also makes an excellent base for hot drinks such as mulled wine.

Pour the infusion back into the pot and add sugar, orange zest, cinnamon and mint to it. We boil the fill for about two minutes. Remove the zest and cinnamon from the infusion with a slotted spoon or spoon. Pour liquid into a jar, which we immediately roll up and turn over. After the compote has cooled down under a warm blanket, we transfer the container with the drink to a storage location.
