Black grape compote with lemon for the winter

The grape drink is very aromatic. You can choose any variety. If you make a compote from white grapes, it will turn out to be not so rich in color, practically transparent, but no less tasty.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
To prepare compote, you must first sort out the grapes. To do this, we free the branches from the grapes and, in parallel, discard the rotten and damaged fruits. We wash whole grapes with running water. It is best to do this with a colander to gradually drain excess moisture.
step 2 out of 5
We select the cans necessary for seaming. First, we clean them together with the lids with baking soda, and then rinse and send them for sterilization. Put the grapes in clean containers so that the layer reaches half of the jar.
step 3 out of 5
Now put sugar in the jars in a ratio of 1 to 2. If you are afraid to make a mistake, use a scale. Rinse the lemon in a stream of water and cut it into slices along with the peel. We send 3-4 slices to each jar.
step 4 out of 5
Pour the required amount of water into a saucepan. Bring it to a boil on the stove and immediately pour halfway into the jars. Stir until the sugar dissolves and cover the containers with lids. We leave for 15 minutes.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the infusion back into the pot. Add the same amount of water and bring to a boil again. Fill the grapes in jars with syrup. We roll up the containers with lids (they should be scalded with boiling water in advance). We turn over and wrap the cans. When the compote has cooled down, put the containers with the drink in the storage area.
Bon Appetit!
