Both adults and children like this drink. These multi-colored berries are placed in a jar in the same quantity, and the compote is prepared without sterilization. Currants, especially red currants, can be added to compote without separating them from the twigs.

First, we will prepare everything you need to make compote. Thoroughly rinse the 3 liter cans. We measure the right amount of currants and sugar in accordance with the volume of your workpiece. Separate the currant berries from the twigs and rinse in a colander under running water. First pour black currants into a clean jar.

In a separate saucepan, bring the calculated amount of clean drinking water to a boil. With boiling water, carefully so that the bank does not burst, pour the currants. Cover the jar with a lid and leave for 40 minutes to infuse.

Pour water from cans through a special lid into a saucepan with sugar. We put it on medium heat, mix sugar and water and cook the syrup for 2-3 minutes from the beginning of the boil.

Then re-pour the currants in the jar with boiling syrup and immediately cork tightly with a lid. We check the tightness of the seaming. We put the jar on the lid, cover with a warm blanket and leave it overnight to cool completely.
