Black currant contains trace elements valuable for children: iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium. Berries are also rich in antioxidants and pectin. And, of course, black currant is one of the leaders among berries in terms of vitamin C. A product with such a nutritional value should be included in the children's diet more often. Sour berries are not always to the taste of small fussy, but if you make a healthy tasty compote from them, then you will not have to force it to drink.

Cooking process
For the preparation of compote, you can use both fresh black currant berries and frozen ones. Fresh berries must be thoroughly washed, freed from twigs, leaves and other random debris. Frozen berries do not require preliminary defrosting - they can be used to prepare frozen compote. In the process of heating, they will defrost anyway, and the loss of vitamins will be minimal.
Bon Appetit!
