Blackcurrant compote in a 3-liter jar for the winter

Many people monitor their diet and try to exclude store drinks from their diet. So I don't buy juices and various carbonated drinks, but prepare compotes from fresh berries in the summer or freeze berries and cook compotes, fruit drinks and jelly as needed. I recommend making blackcurrant compote for the winter.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Prepare the necessary ingredients for the blackcurrant compote. Put the black currants in a sieve, rinse thoroughly and let the excess liquid drain. Measure out the required amount of granulated sugar. You can adjust the amount of granulated sugar depending on your own taste preferences.
step 2 out of 4
Prepare the jars, wash them thoroughly and sterilize them in the oven or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a saucepan for 5-10 minutes. Fill a saucepan with the required amount of drinking water, put on medium heat and bring to a boil.
step 3 out of 4
Place the black currants on the bottom of sterile jars. Add the required amount of granulated sugar to boiling water, stir until completely dissolved, bring to a boil and boil the syrup for 5-7 minutes. Gently pour the boiling syrup over the prepared blackcurrant jars.
step 4 out of 4
Cover the jars of compote with the lids and carefully roll up with a seaming machine. Turn the jars of blackcurrant compote upside down. Leave as it is until it cools completely by covering them with a tea towel or wrapping them in a warm blanket. Then turn the jars over and move them to a cool, dark place for long-term storage.

Enjoy!
